Special Presentation

American Woman
When people have a sense of power, they have a powerful choice – especially those younger and more invisible than most. After successfully enacting a violent plot against the United States government, Jenny Shimada (Hong Chau), a young ex-radical, relies on her off-the-grid expertise to safeguard three runaways. She is particularly drawn to Pauline (Sarah Gadon), who notoriously adopted the revolutionary ideology of her kidnappers. American Woman puts us in the safe house and on the road with young activists and their kidnapped subject in a Patty Hearst-inspired adventure in power, identity and transformation from Emmy-winning filmmaker Semi Chellas.

Available to stream from 12:01AM, September 17th to 11:59PM, September 24th.
