The Middle Man
From award-winning Norwegian filmmaker Bent Hamer, The Middle Man is a darkly humorous social satire revolving around a cast of surreal characters in a small North American town. The social fabric of Karmack is disintegrating, as unusual accidents befall it’s residents, leading to the newly created position of a ‘middle man’ whose sole job is to inform the next-of-kin after another unfortunate incident. Frank Farrelli (Pål Sverre Hagen) takes the job on with gusto, becoming the town’s beacon of bad news. But the pressures of the job and a budding new romance overwhelm Frank, leading him to call in a "favour" that results in absurdly tragic consequences
